Everyone loves wearing stunningly beautiful nails, right? Right! Well, since that seems to be the case, than I'm happily going to share with you just how I create a lovely set of no lift, Pink & White Acrylic Nail Enhancements using white-tip extensions, and pink and white acrylic powders. So, if you’re ready, let’s get started!
Disposable implements you'll need:
1. Paper Towels
2. 100/180 Grit File
3. White, plastic artificial nail tips
4. Wood Pusher
5. Buffer Block
Re-usable implements you'll need:
1. One small terrycloth towel
2. Cuticle nipper
3. Artificial Nail Tip cutter
4. Nail clipper
5. Plastic Nail brushe
6. Dappen Dish, or a small glass ramekin
Products you'll need:
1. Antibacterial Soap
2. Liquid Monomer
3. Nail glue
4. Nail Primer
5. Pink and White Acrylic Powders
6. Acrylic application brush (preferably made of Sable Hair)
7. Nail Dehydrator
8. Desired colored polish, and Clear Top Coat
Ready! Set! Set-up!
Begin by placing a few clean paper towels on top of a small towel. You'll be using these paper towels for wiping your brush clean later, during the application process. Now, set-out your implements and other items you'll need, keeping them comfortably within easy reach, wash your hands with the anti-bacterial soap and your nail brush, then thoroughly dry your hands. Now you’re now ready to begin preparing your natural nails for the acrylic application.
Natural Nail Preparation
For me, natural nail preparation is the MOST important process in an acrylic nail enhancement application, greatly reducing, if not altogether eliminating, product lifting. Having said that, simply begin by pushing, trimming and cleaning your cuticles. Once completed, trim all free edges evenly so as to obtain the best tip fit, and, using the 180 grit side of your file, lightly file your natural nail plates, always being sure not to file any more than is necessary to etch off the nail plates shine. Finally, using a bit of acetone and a clean plastic nail brush, gently wash away all dust and debris from the nail plates, then rinse with clean warm water and thoroughly dry your hands. Now, apply nail dehydrator to all nails and, Ta Da! You’re now ready to apply plastic tips!
