As I stepped off the plane I looked at the glass windows of the terminal hoping to catch a glimpse of her.
I had boarded the plane in Fort Lauderdale Florida for the two hour fifty five minute flight to Medellin Colombia. The reason for my trip was somewhere in that terminal I hoped. We had met online; we had been chatting and had set up a time to meet in March of next year. But as all plans seem to do, the more we talked the closer we became the more impossible it was for us to wait that long without meeting. I checked the flights and found a real deal on a long weekend Friday to Monday round trip ticket made Hotel reservations, and here I was on the tarmac of the Medellin Colombia International Airport. We filed across the tarmac and proceeded single file up a couple flights of stairs then down several long corridor hallways to the customs and immigration area .Passport and declaration papers ready I stood in line until it was my turn. My paperwork was fine I then proceeded to the customs screening where my carryon luggage was x-rayed and examined. Through with all that I walked through a door where many people were waiting –I looked around and then to my left standing back a little, she stood smiling. I smiled back, walked slowly up to her, took her in my arms and gave the kiss that changed both of our lives forever.
We kissed and held each other for longer than an instant then looked each other in the eyes and we both knew. This was out of the ordinary, this was special, and this was what love is supposed to feel like.
The taxi ride from the International airport to our hotel in the business section of Medellin was about 40 minutes. Those 40 minutes were filled with the most intense and passionate kissing I had ever experienced.Bernarda turned in the seat so that I held her cradled in my arms and we kissed. I didn’t see any of the scenery of Colombia I only saw the most beautiful woman in my arms. I held her as she was starting to find her way deeper and deeper into my heart.
We arrived at the Hotel. I was feeling a little light headed, and tremendously aroused. We checked into our room and a bell hop carried our bags up for us. We were on the 17th floor room 1712.As we brought our bags in and sat them down, the bell hop left and we were alone. I walked over and took her in my arms , we kissed, and Bernarda said lets go to the restaurant, As I was nervous—but not nearly as nervous as her, I welcomed the break in the tense passion
