Dogs can bring such an enormous amount of pleasure and love to their owners, loved ones and friends.  It is only fair then that we treat them and look after them well.   Whether it is their birthday, Christmas,  or we are simply wishing to make a fuss of them and make them feel happy there is a huge choice of things out there we can buy for them.  The choice is so mind staggering that it is difficult to know where to start sometimes!   If we are buying the gift for someone else's pride and joy we try hard to get it right but it is difficult, so a pointer in the right direction can be appreciated.

Before you start to think about what to get the dog ask yourself if you are buying it something as a treat or as a practical present  and work out an idea of how much you want to spend on it.  Otherwise you will looking at all sorts of things that are too expensive, too cheap or not suitable and wasting a lot of time.

Any dog that has a lot of hair needs a lot of grooming and it might also need flea control, so any gifts for these dogs that bear this in mind are helpful,  but not so much fun.  For the hairy dog toys are probably the best bet if we are trying to make the pet happy.    It is a good idea to bear in mind that if the dog is an adult  it's owner will already have accumulated quite a bit of what is needed.  If you are watching what you spend something as simple as a new brush could be just what they need,  but it would not be much fun for the dog.  If you want to splash the cash more a dog basket or new lead might be in order.

If you want the owner to get pleasure from the gift too then you cannot go wrong with a sweater, hoodie, t shirt or dress for his or her bundle of joy.   Depending on the time of year there are loads of  different garments you can choose which would give both the owner and the pet a lot of pleasure and delight.  A good site is pineapplepups.com.
