I have tried numerous dating websites but Plentyoffish.com is by far the best. I have had such great success with Plentyoffish.com, I feel guilty for not paying them, so hopefully this review will earn them some new recruits. If you have been single for way too long, do yourself a favor and try out this no nonsense, effective dating site.

Most highly touted dating sites lure you in with promises such as “sign up now for free!” Your registration is certainly free but they use the information that you provide to solicit, spam and annoy you. They allow you to write a profile, upload photos and search their database, but when you finally find a prospect and attempt to send her a message, sorry, you have to pay for it. I hereby confirm that Plentyoffish.com is 100% free.

Once you set up your account you can send messages to anyone without restrictions. Also, you can paste contact information and links in your profile to social websites such at Facebook.com (if you do this you must be cautious of internet predators). Plentyoffish.com does not screen your profile and force you to delete such links. There is no reason for them to do so because, again, it is free.

According to Plentyoffish.com’s homepage, it receives “over 135 million monthly visitors.” With these numbers, there is no shortage of prospects even if you live in a small town. On average I receive several inquiries per week, which is amazing considering that I am an ugly, hairy mongoloid. Every day when I click “New Users” there are always more girls to chase, which boosts my hopes after suffering a previous round of rejection. Remember, it is the dating site’s job to provide prospects but it is up to you to work the magic.

The search filter is detailed but not burdensome. You can narrow the field down by distance, sexual orientation, age, height, religion, education, interests, etc. Plentyoffish.com also asks you to complete a questionnaire that supposedly determines your emotional needs and matches you with similar personalities (a process similar to Eharmony.com, but a lot less complicated, time consuming and expensive). When you click on “My Matches” the database matches you according to attributes indicated in the questionnaire. However, if you would like to bypass this you can use the “advanced” search option.

Something also unique about Plentyoffish.com is that I have not encountered abuse on the site. Most dating sites are plagued by spam or predatory activity. Plentyoffish.com does a good job weeding them out. With that said, you must always be cautious when communicating with strangers online. Do not give out personal information unless you trust that person.
