I think perhaps one of the best talk shows out there right now is the Tyra Banks Show. The shows content seems to really focus on projecting a positive body image for all women and men alike. Tyra has recently been criticized for her weight gain. Instead of going on some crazy diet to lose weight, she has started the "So what" campaign. I love the fact that she has average women on her show from all walks of life, and they are now using the "So What" words. The "So What" campaign is empowering to all especially women. Our society is obsessed with achieving the perfect body. The problem with this so called perfect thin body, is that it is impossible for most to achieve without having serious medical problems. Tyra has done numerous shows on Anorexia and Bulimia, Binging, obesity, and so on. Her show focuses on common issues that all face in today's world. What I think is great about her talk show is that her main focus isn't about dieting, exercising, and losing weight like most shows on Daytime. Tyra focuses more on eating healthy, and being proud of your body and what it stands for. Tyra Banks is the perfect woman to come out and talk about weight and what she has gained and how she feels about it. She is beautiful, a former model, and a bright young woman. Tyra Banks has given a lot of girls a positive role model to look up to. Now if only there were more women out there on television that were as honest as Tyra Banks is. Maybe there wouldn't be as many eating disorders among women and men of all ages.
