Poetry: Dependency

by Masimba Mukichi

Created on: November 10, 2010

Hey, parasite.

Come out from your shell.

Come out from that enclosure.

Come out from that cacoon.

Come out from that closet.

Bid farewell to that duvet.

Bid farewell to laziness.

It is dawn now.

A man must not sleep all day.

The sun is rising, rise and shine.

Rise and work.

Dependency syndrome is counter productive.

Hey, parasite earn an earnest dollar.

Dependency on benefits is cowardice.

Fend for your life, don't over stretch the taxpayer's money.

Work up parasite and stop sucking the blood of others.

You have to contribute to the economy.

Dependency, dependency on the taxpayer's money is counter productive.

The sun is shining let us join hands with you parasite,

In earning an earnest pound.

Dependency syndrome is cowardice.
