O merciful Father,
help me live for today, this moment;
direct my steps toward peace and good will.
Help me to see the good in others, always;
keep whispering to me in your voice so still.

O merciful Father,
help me to endure, to see beyond the immediate;
encourage me to see others’ needs and their tests.
Help me to be a blessing and a beacon of light;
let me always give to others only my very best.

O Heavenly Father,
help me to overcome intolerance and irritations;
let not my giving be met with derision and scorn.
Allow your light in me to shine for others to see;
let it shine brightly like sun in the early morn.

O Heavenly Father,
help me to understand your ways are not my ways;
give me patience when you don’t answer right away.
Help me to remember you’ve brought me this far;
let me remember that with You, I have victory today.

O merciful Father,
let me endure as days fold into the darkness of nights:
assure me Father it will be You who directs my dreams.
Let me continue to hear the gentleness of your whispers; 
give me the wisdom to know in my life you reign supreme.
