Add a little exercise to each day

Everybody knows that in order to be healthy you must eat a well balanced diet and exercise on a regular basis.  However many of us are busy people and cannot fit large exercise sessions into our day.  Listed below are a few ways to add a little exercise to every day.

1.  Walk

This is a very simple way to burn a few calories.  The reality is that you walk for a certain period of time every day.  All you need to do is to extend this.  For example if you are catching the lift up to work instead of getting off at your floor get off a floor earlier and walk up the steps.  The more time you spend being active the fitter you will become.  Exercise is anything that keeps your active and your heart racing so it does not have to be at a gym.

2.  Find a Physical Hobby You Enjoy

There are lots of hobbies that require you to be physical.  Some people like to go to dance classes.  Others prefer swimming or aquarobics.  Try to find whatever it is that you love to do and do it.  It doesn't even have to be fitness related. For example if you enroll at a pottery class you will be out and about for the evening as opposed to sitting at home eating in front of the television.

3.  Get Your Friends Involved

If you have friends that would like to get a little fitter or lose some weight try to make a group effort.  This will keep the people in your group motivated it will also ensure that you and your friends are having fun.

You could go for group walks together at lunch or even get involved in some organized sports.  This may mean something like indoor soccer or netball.  You can play against other teams once a week and train on other days.

The key to exercising regularly every day for people are not athletes is to keep it interesting and fun.  This will mean that you change things up every now and then and try something new.  By incorporating fun outdoor activities into your life you will find that exercise will soon become a fun social activity as opposed to sweating it out at the gym.
