TITLE: AFTERMATH
From time to time
These seismic shifts
They redefine
Create great rifts
More than trembling
Rolling, rocking
More than ringing
More than knocking
Swinging fixtures
Fear and screaming

You're not dreaming
Walls start tumbling
Only instinct

Rubble smolders
Quiet rain
Instantly older
Loss and pain
Assessing damage
Lonely tear
Unknown future
Shaking fear
East horizon
Cracks the dawn

Across the lawn
Seated down
Comforting shoulder
Strength rebuilding
Growing bolder
Such ancient days
Such perfect times
Did not create
Nor did define
Not until now
Push comes to shove
Do you see her
Do you see love
