False Starts

Starting when your not ready...If you are not truly ready to give up your current lifestyle then regardless of your results you are solely going through the motions and will fail. There is a definitive moment you must have, whether it may be your ah-ha moment, your revelation, your moment of clarity what ever you want to call it, it will happen.

Own It

Stop the lies...you got your self into this mess, now its time for you to get yourself out of it. Take responsibility for the position you are in right now, you are at fault. This is something you must acknowledge to move on to bigger and better things.

Unrealistic GOALS

Fantasies are nice...thats what you are living in if you think your going to go down 50 pounds over night. When you set goals that are not realistic, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. The way to beat this is not to set one huge goal but instead focus on setting a few small goals.

Diets Suck

Dieting is an UN-necessary evil...Depriving yourself from eating a category of foods or limiting the type of foods you eat is nonsense. Having balance is key, if you go on a diet to loose then whats going to happen when the diets over? Your going to gain it right back. You cannot simply exclude entire food groups because someone tells you they are bad.

“Are you trying to kill everyone else?”

Go through cupboards and the fridge and get rid of all the things that are making you fat.

“ I’ll keep it for the kids”...you want your kids to be fat too? keep it then!

“ I’ll donate it”...oh okay, so want to kill the less fortunate as well.

“KIDS IN AFRICA ARE STARVING”...so instead of foods to build up their immunity, you want to send them some Twinkies, trans fat and processed food? good plan Einstein.

Track It

3 things you should be tracking are Food, Exercise and Measurement. In terms of food it is not necessarily about calorie counting but taking responsibility for what your putting in your mouth. Knowing that you have to write down what you ate today can help curb your instinct to reach for the bad stuff. You are taking ownership of what your eating because you can see it on paper.

Self Sabotage

“I worked out, I can afford to eat a chocolate bar”... It is a misconception that because you are exercising you can eat more.Weight loss is proportioning the calories in to the calories out. Do you want to spend your calories
