Trickles of gravy sliding over turkey
Has my stomach aching,
And my mouth watering.
New and old family members raising glasses together,
Klinking our thanks for having our families, each other.
Grace is said, and forks and knives rise up.

Voracious, we dive in, pausing only to breath.
Innocent conversation, and reminiscing abound.
No one is left out, all are cherished.
God bless us, our families and friends.

You never
