Television, especially in this day and age of advanced technology, has contributed, [some would say in a big way] to the rise in obesity levels that we are now witnessing. To many experts television, along with the rise in fast food chains, supermarkets and ready-made meals have all become the bain of the modern-day society.
Obesity levels have shot up as those within society continue to lounge around, playing computer games wirelessly on the television, eating fast food and consuming x amounts of fizzy drinks. However, in many ways, video game companies [such as
Nintendo] have recognised this danger within our midst now, and have brought out a whole series of games [including brain training games] in which the player plays an active role - using exercises to complete tasks.

We have stopped thinking for ourselves as we switch the television on as soon as we get out of bed. We don't care about the quality of the programmes that T.V companies may be broadcasting. The fact of the matter is that switching on the television has now become force of habit..
It has just become another voice in the corner of the room. We watch but we are not really paying attention to what is on the screen. We have become akin and likened to a nation of zombies as we sit, feed our faces and stare blankly at the screen before us. Indeed quality programming has,
