THANKSGIVING
Time slips away at a maddening pace,
Homes are riddled with fear.
Angry at the world, wishing for grace,
No goodness in sight here.
Kindness is lacking, patience is gone,
Self-control doesn’t exist.
Gaiety can’t leave its mark upon even
Innocents. We must not resist
Vibrant pictures of love, a sacrificed lamb
Instead of my place on that tree.
Not counting the cost, He laid out His plan
Giving all He had for me.

You never
