==Maybelline Falsies Lash Mascara=
I seem to go through mascaras like there is no tomorrow either this or that they have started putting less in the tubes! However this was my most recent mascara that I have just finished and had to replace. More often than not I tend to ditch a mascara if I don't like it so seeing as I have used this one right till there is none left says it wasn't all bad.
As with most of my make up and toiletries I purchased this tube of mascara from my local Boots store and at the time I think there might have been some small discount for me to try it out. I can't remember how much I actually paid for it but I know the RRP of the Falsies Lash mascara is £7.99 pence which for a mascara such as this isn't too bad.
The colour of the mascara I picked up was "Very Black" but because this is the one I wanted I am not too sure if they do actually make any other colours as I have found that a lot of mascaras now only come in different variations of black.
The tube of mascara itself is rather appealing as it is a bright pink and turquoise design which really catches your eye in the shop and draws you nearer towards buying it. The chunky tube seems a popular choice these days but I can't say it is a great design feature as I generally perfect the longer thinner mascara tubes. However the screw cap is easy to remove and the brush is held firmly in place inside the lid.
The brush of the mascara looked a good one before I had used it because it has a shaped bristle head. It was flexible and the bristles looked well placed. The bend I the bristles is said to be a specialist Spoon design.
The mascara itself claims to be able to make your own eye lashes look like false ones. This really is a statement I find hard to believe and I wouldn't have demanded results such as these. The brush is said to find each and ever lash and coat it with the product create three times more visible lashes.
I used the product like any other mascara and found it was an easy mascara to apply. The shaping of the brush made it easier to get every lash and coat it with the product. There was a good amount of mascara on the brush when pulling it out from the tube and it was enough to coat all the lases on one eye really well.
I found the product did at first glide on to the lashes to give a clump free and smooth look. It was however thick enough to make the lashes look fuller and longer which I liked. It of course didn't work miracles but it did a good job. After a week or so I did find that the product seemed to get rather thicker and even after a really good shake and tap before each use I still found it to be too thick. I kept it in the fridge of a while and eventually added some cooled boiled water. This did thin it down to a good consistency making it smoother and easier to apply and thus giving a better final result.
This seemed to work for the next couple of weeks that it took me to use the entire mascara up and all in all the product was a good one. I can't say it was the best mascara that I have used but it most certainly isn't the worst. I would most likely buy this Maybelline mascara again especially if it was on special offer.
Overall I feel a 4 out of 5 star rating is in order. It is a good price and in the end you can get a good look which seems to hold on the lashes well and look good all day. Recommendation!
