Are you a writer interested in earning residual income online?  There are a lot of great websites that can help you earn money while fine tuning your writing skills.  When it comes to earning residual income on line it takes time, time, time and then patience, patience, patience and of course you have write, write, write and then write some more.

Hubpages is a great online writing site that shares revenue and earnings and it is open for anyone to join.  Money is earned on Hubpages through revenue sharing from Google Adsense and Affiliates such as Amazon.com and Ebay.com.  You can also earn via Kontera ads on your articles.

The revenue sharing is 60/40.  This means that 60 percent of the time when someone views your articles the advertisements or affiliate links they click on will be yours and you will earn money on them.  The other 40 percent of the time the advertisement and affiliate earnings will go to Hubpages.  This is a very sweet deal for writers wanting to earn residual income.

Simple Tips on Writing for Hubpages

All articles on hubpages should be of your own creation - plagiarism is not tolerated. Each article should be between 600-800 words long.  They can be as short as 400 but I find I get better traffic and higher earnings with the longer articles. Sign up with Amazon.com (or Ebay.com) as an affiliate so you can earn additional money on your articles.Include capsules in each article with photos, amazon.com links and links to your other articles.  This will make your article look more interesting and provide additional earning opportunities from Amazon.Link between all of your Hubpages articles so readers can find all of your articlesIt will take a lot of articles before you will start see some decent money – but don’t give up because there is definite earning potential with Hubpages.

Hubpages will quickly flag an spammy type articles that are overly promotional.  You are also only permitted two links in every article that point to outside webistes.  For example if I publish a fashion article on Hubpages I can include two links within the article that point to my fashion articles at Suite101.  If I include more than two links to outside sites in my Hubpages articles I will get flagged (this is a mistake I have made in the past and now I make sure I never exceed two outside links.)

I love Hubpages and the opportunity to earn money from my articles through Google Adsense and through Amazon.com.  I have been with them for over a year and it takes time to start earning money but once you do it is worth it and of course you just keep earning every day even if you take a break from writing for a week or a month or longer.  I LOVE that!
