Christmas is fast approaching, which can only mean one thing, time to buy your loving boyfriend a special gift. Do not be mistaken by your boyfriend's pleas that he does not care what gift he receives and that he does not need anything; truth be told he has a list as long as your arm and does not want to say. This is why it is important to avoid the gifts that your boyfriend really does not want this Christmas.  But what are those so called unwanted gifts? Here is a list of five gifts to avoid buying your boyfriend this Christmas.

Teddy Bear

All girls love getting a teddy bear or cuddly toy from their boyfriend, but while your boyfriend is happy enough to buy them for you he certainly does not want them as a Christmas gift.  I mean what would a macho guy do with a cute teddy bear?  It is not likely he will set it proudly on top of his bed, it is more likely he will give it to his baby cousin or hide it in the back of his wardrobe if you are lucky.  

Flowers

Flowers make a nice thank you gesture and a beautiful gift for a girlfriend on Valentines Day. They are not suitable as a Christmas gift for your boyfriend. If you do buy your boyfriend flowers as a Christmas gift chances are he will grit his teeth, look at you in shock and then give the flowers to his Mum, as her Christmas gift.

Slippers

Slippers are a necessity, but are not the type of gift your boyfriend expects from you.  Slippers are normally bought for or by grannies or grandas, not devoted girlfriends.  So if you are struggling to find a Christmas gift for your boyfriend do not take any gift tips from your granny, who will probably point you in the direction of the nearest pair of slippers.

Bubble bath and soap set

Everyone likes to smell good but there are some gifts that you should avoid buying for your boyfriend and a bubble bath and soap set is one of them. If you want to buy your boyfriend a smelly Christmas gift head to the aftershave counter.

Hot water bottle

How many guys actually own a hot water bottle? I am thinking very few. Your boyfriend will want you to keep him warm on those cold frosty nights, not a hot water bottle.

Make sure when you are buying your boyfriend a Christmas gift that you avoid these five gifts. This is not a complete list of unwanted gifts as that will depend on your boyfriend's interests.
