Forget about yesterday
what can I do today?
I cannot do it all
but I can do something.
Look around
take it in.
Dishes - a few. Check. Done.
Laundry - ok. A load. Maybe two.
Exercise while enriching my mind.
Write a little.
Work.
Last glance. Is there anything else?
One more thing I can do today?
Pray a little.
Say goodnight to another day less stressed.

sighs and moans
outside my window.
Today, the travel clock
ticks away on the shelf
above my desk.
Today,
A ring of smoke
Hazes over my head
The last remnants
Of a burning cigarette
My tears have dried
Sticky rivers of regret
Dry now,
Today Or So It Seems
As I sit here today I remember yesterday
How long ago it seems. It flew by so fast
As if it was a dream
Today is tomorrow seen from yesterday,
it is an illusion of the past yet happens every day.
Today is a time that things
Let me get caught up today
get what I haven't done complete
stay current with all I should do
instead of dragging my feet
