Poetry: Let it go

by Jamerson Rising

Created on: November 05, 2010

  Why this pain.
     That keeps me lame.

     Words from the past
     are the ones to blame.

     Must break this ice.
     Surrounding my flame.

     Encased in ice.
     With no one to blame.

    This ice frozen self blame.
    Way in the past.

    This curse was cast.
    So long ago

Even the memory did not last.

    I finally let go.

    No more ice.
    My fire inside all aglow.

    To be free again you
    just have to let go.

    I closed my eyes.
The ice looked just like snow.

As I burst forth all aglow.
    Free at last.

And no more of that spell.
That was cast so long ago.

    Just close you eye's.
    And push away.

    That's the secret you know.
To be free to just let go.
