Losing the negative person in you

Negativity is not only a state of mind it is also an energy force. Being negative not only affects the negative party but it also affects everyone around them. When an individual is negative they release negative energy in the air that affects everyone at work, home, even normal everyday chores and activities.

Negative energy creates a domino effect. Think about it, have you ever been a little irritated at work? Do you notice that the same energy is in the air? Notice how everyone just seems irritated? You are contributing greatly to that energy. By taking small steps and making small adjustments in your life you can possess the power to deflect the negative energy in others and also have the power to change that negative energy around.

I used to be negative, and due to that, everything in my life was going wrong. I was broke, fat ugly, and lonely. In my negative state of mind that’s all I saw. If I had been positive I would have realized I had tons of family and friends around me that loved and adored me, but I was too busy being negative and pushing them all out of my life. It wasn’t until I started engulfing myself in spirituality, and reading Buddhist history, that I possessed positive thinking and turned my world right side up. Here is what helped me.

BE THANKFUL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE

This is the most simple yet hardest step. How do you think positive and be thankful if your house is in foreclose sure, or your child is doing poorly in school? Find a way to turn anything you may see as negative to positive! Did you wake up this morning? Try kneeling and thanking your Higher Power for allowing you and your loved ones to wake and begin their day. Were you able to take a shower, get dressed and eat a meal? Thank your Higher Power again because there are millions of poor, starving people that could not do any of those things! Do you feel better? You should!  Don’t feel like you have anything to be thankful for? You have access to a computer to read this article… starving children in Uganda, don’t. Feel better?

REMIND OTHERS TO BE THANKFUL FOR WHAT THEY HAVE

Call a loved one that’s having a bad week, or turn to your children dragging out of bed and tell them you love them, and that things could be worse and cherish your family. Remind them of the things you are thankful for, and encourage them to do the same. If you have a job, be thankful, a bucket for a car that still runs be thankful. A dirty house is till a home
