Eyes open wide
Eyes wide open and in my mind
treasures of a heartfelt love I find
The softness of your hands I feel
steady now find my nerves of steel
Your kiss like sweet wine upon my lips
wanting to gulp but settling for sips
There's a great hunger growing inside
can't run away no place to hide
Imagination is strong I feel your hands
but through the hour glass fall the sands
Whispers of your voice I hear in my ears
looking for you I've searched now for years
In our log home at the foot of the mountains
or walking in the park wading in the fountains
Remembering to play like when we were small
holding hands together to get through it all
We'll be together forever this time will last
now that we've learned the mistakes from the past
Love you I will and always at your side
I see us together with my eyes open wide

Poetry: Daydreams

A five-minute break, to catch my breath,
(halfway up a mountain in the Arochar Alps, Scotland):
Ahead of me, I see a blue
Daydreams.
Often in a quiet time I let my mind drift,
To places that I've never gone;
Dreaming dreams of great heroic deeds,

Eyes open wide
Eyes wide open and in my mind
treasures of a heartfelt love I find
The softness of your hands I feel
steady
Whenever it got tough on the outside
An always ajar door on the inside
Would invite her further in

Daydreams
Come in a million
To earn millions
But none of them
Open the gates
Of the rich
Mama wakes
Me up
From the veranda
Why don't
