I am a sole trader with a thriving horse feed manufacturing business, and recently took on a book-keeper/partner in the business for a period of 3 months. I smelled a rat within the first month and should have done something immediately but kept being reassured by this person that things were right. After all, why should I worry? She was involved in the business, she was a book-keeper.
WRONG! She was a thief, and has almost sent me bankrupt in a very short period of time - not only did she steal in excess of 3 tonne of feed, but also %8,000.00 - the police are unwilling to assist as they claim it to be a civil matter. funy though, I always thought fraud, stealing and false pretences were a criminal offence? I know for sure they would be if it had been me weho perpetrated them.
