And now, my girl, you're old enough to date,
but don't assume that this is easy work;
since the goal is to choose your married fate,
make sure you get a prince and not a jerk.
Why, yes, I think it's lovely you've found love,
but love will not pay bills, be sensible.
A man with money you'll not tire of
and you'll find his wealth indispensable.
Of course I understand you want romance,
but dating isn't window shopping, dear -
lose your head, choose wrong, and you'll miss your chance!
(Don't get stuck with a man like I've got here.)
Now! Let's look through my prized recipe book.
You'll never catch a man if you can't cook.
