Down the temperature goes
And winter starts its season
Cold is the air and the wind is freezing
Ice begins to creep its way along the rivers, streams and lakes
And it will make its stay for a while.
Some will enjoy the Ice and all that it brings
Ice skating, Ice fishing
Others will fear it as they drive along the highways late at night.
But it will remain here until its time has come to an end
Then we can fondly say goodbye to Ice until it comes back again.

frozen in glacier,

A window, not a door
Throw zen to the bone
Preserved, in a cold zone

Reaching the heavens

the ice
hangs in
defiance
of the proud
sun showing
its power
