Poetry: Tanka about the wind
by J.B. Doyle
Whispers in the woods
Laughing leaves, chuckling branches
Air pushes, tickles
Grasses dance, trees keep rhythm
Nature’s
Deranged caretaker:
Rip still trees out by their roots;
Push around calm seas –
Deliver gifts of pollen;
Caress daises
by Rick Bavera
The air itself moves
Gently, softly, then strongly,
Unseen not unfelt.
The effects are apparent
Ruffled hair, moving trees,
Earth spins and moon tugs,
Air blows, curls and flows all ways.
Breeze, gently touching.
Wind gusts, cheerfully pushing.
Unfurl your soft breath
Gently rocking earth to sleep
Trees sway with your voice
Creating cooler breezes
Your touch soothes
