Poetry: Puddles

by Amanda Kasper

Created on: November 02, 2010

Oh the places my rain boots have taken me!

From the mud puddles of my childhood to

wadding the flood waters of drainage ditches.

On to the angst of my hormonal teens

and the sleuthing to be had in the forest preserves.

The boots may have changed sizes, patterns, and wear

throught out my many years.

But the fun to be had in the many puddles of life

carried me further into adulthood as I teach children

the art of how to really make the water really fly!
