*Cross My Heart*
I can't help but thinking
How funny things turn out,
It's like I'm going crazy
With all this betrayal flying about,
The demons are banging on the door,
Scratching the walls.
I feel them breathing down my neck,
Tears start to fall.
I feel your hands in places they should never be.
I feel parts of your body deep inside of me.
I don't fight back because you told me not to.
I don't scream because I'm afraid of what you'll do.
So cross my heart, I hope to die.
Blankets pulled over my head, silently I cry,
Dear Jesus, please know that he has sinned.
Forgive me for I cannot forgive him.
I don't have much faith in you God
But I was told that you love me and I suppose you do.
But please don't forget,
He said he loved me too.
