I've been with ChaCha for about a month now and what I would first like to say is that I only wish I'd found ChaCha sooner! As a stay at home mother it's been a dream opportunity for me! You can easily go to the website www.chacha.com and see what ChaCha is all about, so I won't delve into that. I'm just here to give you the inside info on what it's like to work for ChaCha, how to start working for ChaCha and how much you could expect to make.
As a ChaCha "guide" I assist "info seekers" in finding the information that they need. I find it to be both a rewarding and challenging posistion. On one hand I have info seekers who greatly appreciate my assistance and tell me how much time I've saved them or how they could have never found the info on their own. On the other hand I, and other ChaCha guides have to put up with a bit of abuse. We've been getting a lot of prank searches at ChaCha lately and these pranksters really just love to do anything to annoy, offend, or just give us guides a hard time. The pranksters are honestly the only complaint I have about working for ChaCha. Sure, the system has some occasional glitches but I honestly can't complain, after all they're still in beta!
Most people who've looked into working for ChaCha know that you have to get an invitation in order to become a guide. That means that a current guide has to invite you into their ChaCha network. So how do you get an invite? Start by searching message boards, chat rooms, blogs and more online. I received my ChaCha invite by responding to a discussion on mylot.com. Be forewarned that ChaCha guides are only interested in giving their invites out to SERIOUS applicants. If a guide invites you to work for ChaCha, you become part of their network and they earn 10% of what you earn. As guides we have a very limited number of invites to give out, so you can see how we wouldn't want to waste them!
As I mentioned before, I've been at ChaCha for about a month. Considering the fact that the first week of that month was spent trying to install the guide app and much of the following week consisted of unpaid training it's really not wise for me personally to start talking about earning potential. I will say this, I've made $280 thus far. I think that if you spend a few weeks figuring out search patterns then you can make really good money just logging on at certain times of the day.
I've talked to people who make $100 a month to those who bring in $700 a month. I think the key to making the most of ChaCha is sticking with it and developing your own time system.
I love ChaCha and am so happy I stumbled upon it! What could be better than staying at home with my daughter and still being able to make money? Did I mention I've been ChaChaing the whole time I've been writing this article?
