♦Introduction♦
Kuros is a game created by Big Fish Games, a company which develops and publishes a wide variety of games. While most of the games aren't very fun at first glance, they can be very interesting and a tempting purchase for some gamers. The game in question, Kuros, is an adventure game with point and click features and puzzles.
♦System Requirements♦
Operating System♦ Windows XP/Vista
CPU♦ 800Mhz
RAM♦ 256MB
DirectX♦ 9.0
Hard Drive Space♦ 136MB
Obviously these system requirements allow for the game to be played on a very low budget computer model. This is a good thing for those who haven't yet upgraded to expensive computer equipment. This also gives the game potential to become a value priced for common use by children or the elderly.
♦Graphics and Sound♦
Full of beautiful artwork and interesting character designs, Kuros has some decent graphics. However they will never compare to modern PC games or home console games. Meanwhile the sound effects of Kuros actually are quite impressive with music that will keep players tuned into the game.
♦Game Play♦
Think of Kuros as an adventure game with a bit of point and click inspiration. It also has a variety of puzzles players must face to explore the world of Kuros. There are plenty of characters to meet and some impressive artwork in the backgrounds, so in all the game play of Kuros isn't all that bad in the end.
The only down side of Kuros game play is the fact that there is only one ending and one path to get there. This isn't always a problem though for older games as they aren't expected to have multiple endings but it is nice when they are included.
♦Improvements♦
Does Kuros from Big Fish Games have room for improvements? Sure it does, but only in a few areas. It would be nice to see more work put into what makes this game creative, the story and the artwork. If Big Fish Games can sell this game by pushing those two factors Kuros could be a hot seller.
Inexpensively priced and filled with some decent game play, Kuros is sure to be a great game for those who are just looking for some quick fun. This game isn't meant to be the next blockbuster Xbox 360 game and doesn't have any replay value due to there only being one set ending but it is worth checking out.
