The Mansion on Forsyth Park is located at 700 Drayton Street in Savannah, Georgia. It is part of the Kessler Collection and is a four diamond hotel. It has gotten a reputation for being haunted because the restaurant that is attached was originally a funeral home. Savannah itself is also known as the most haunted city in America. However, most guests would agree that the only thing scary about the Mansion on Forsyth Park is the strange collection of artwork for sale and on display throughout the entire building. Some of the paintings are interesting and colorful while others are just offensive.
The rooms are priced on average in the $250 - $500 per night range depending on the time of year and special events in the area. Sound romantic? I don't think so. Also, the lamp by our bed had a bad bulb and even after we left a note for the maid requesting a fresh bulb on the first day of our stay, it never happened. Also bulbs were burned out in the electric chandelier on the desk. We were also a little grossed out by the fact that the curtains surrounding the semi-private bathroom were pretty dirty and stained.
The hotel staff were okay, but not what I would expect from a four diamond hotel. The valet staff were excellent and the rooms were somewhat clean, but it seemed like every time we called the restaurant, guest services,
