How to apply acrylic nails

Every woman loves having glamorously beautiful nails, and since that's the case, it's my pleasure to share with you just how I create a gorgeous set of no lift, Acrylic Nail Enhancements using tip extensions, and clear, or translucent pink acrylic powder.

So, if you're ready, let’s get started building those sleek and sexy new nails, baby!

Disposable implements you'll need:

1. Paper Towels

2. 100/180 Grit File

3. White, plastic artificial nail tips

4. Wood Pusher

5. Buffer Block

Re-usable implements you'll need:

1. One small terrycloth towel

2. Cuticle nipper

3. Artificial Nail Tip cutter

4. Nail clipper

5. Plastic Nail brush

6. Dappen Dish, or a small glass ramekin

Products you'll need:

1. Antibacterial Soap

2. Liquid Monomer

3. Nail glue

4. Nail Primer

5. Pink or Clear Acrylic Powder

6. Acrylic application brush (preferably made of Sable Hair)

7. Nail Dehydrator

8. Base Coat, desired colored Polish, and clear Top Coat

9. Cuticle Oil

10. Moisturizing Lotion, or Hand Cream

Ready! Set! Set-up!

Wash your hands with the liquid anti-bacterial soap and your nail brush, and then thoroughly dry your hands. Next, place a few clean paper towels (to be used later during the application process for wiping your brush clean ) on top of a small towel, then begin setting up your implements, and any other items you may need. Remember; keep everything within easy reach. Now you’re now ready to begin preparing your natural nails for the acrylic application.

A) Natural Nail Preparation

I believe preparing the natural nails is the MOST important process in an acrylic nail enhancement application. Proper preparation greatly reduces, if not altogether eliminates, product lifting.

Having said that, begin by pushing, trimming and cleaning your cuticles. Once completed, trim all free edges of your natural nails evenly so as to obtain the best artificial tip fit later. Next, using the 180 grit side of your file, lightly file your natural nail plates. Be sure not to file the natural nail plates any more than is necessary to etch off their shine. Finally, using a bit of acetone and a clean plastic nail brush, gently wash away all dust and debris from your the natural nail plates, and then rinse with clean warm
