I do not normally feel so strange
yet with the phone pressed close to me ear
the words you spoke, my mind they derange
Fear had gripped me for so long
not knowing what to do
if what I feared had been true
Your voice and that sentence
my heart skipped a beat
inside both my stomach and mind
were an unfamiliar heat.
I have nothing to fear now
in fact all of it was in my head
I have begun to wonder
what was there to really dread
It was a false alarm to be sure
yet thanks to you I've been reassured
in time when its right
we'll be ready and I won’t be afraid
because with you I know
a bright future has been laid

To cook you
So smart
