A group of trees hides
Secrets that are hidden from
View and the vivid
Greens and browns are dominant
Throughout the forest

Ancestors stand tall

Warriors against the saw

Ancient wisdom calms

Steadfast and strong against odds

Here I remain, protected

Meandering paths

Wandering through the forest

Sunlight drifting through

Broken gaps in branches and

Openings in colored

Forest old and strong,

Savaged by Man's axe and fire.

Lungs of Earth's surface

Clogged only for Man's desire.
