Traveling is one of the most popular activities ever taken by humans. Millions of people travel to various parts of the world every day. The power of travel is something that we cannot underestimate as travel can benefit that traveler in many ways. Here are some scenarios where we can see the power of travel in action and how it benefits the traveler.

A businessman was on a business trip in a foreign land with a different culture. In the country that he was visiting, he had the opportunity to try new dishes, to watch a cultural show, and to look the way the local people dress up. During his meeting with the local business people, he saw how business agreements were being reached and how the people greeted one another. He had read about the country he was visiting but only when he was in the country that he was able to experience what he had read. In this scenario we can see the power of travel at work where the man gained some memorable experience and additional knowledge.

A lady was spending her holiday in a foreign land where she met some new friends in the tour group which she belonged to. She exchanged email addresses with them and now, after some years, she is still in touch with them. During their correspondence, they exchange ideas and offer help to another. One day, one of the friends came to visit her in her own country. Here, we can see that the power of travel helps a person to create new friendship. If the lady did not decide to travel to the country, she would not have met the friends.

Some people travel to foreign countries to enrol themselves in universities or other kinds of tertiary education institution to gain additional knowledge. While they were in the countries, they learned about the local cultures and gained some useful knowledge for themselves that they could bring home to help the citizens of their countries or to enhance their standard of living. In this example, we can see the power of travel helping the travelers who are students to enhance their knowledge and to gain new skills.

The power of travel had been at work for many centuries. During the olden days, traders travel to different countries to exchange goods. There might be a possibility that they exchanged cultures as well. You have might have read in your history text book about European colonization. The Europeans were able to built strong and powerful ships that could carry them to various parts of the world to conquer lands, to spread Christianity, and to spread their
