Let's get serious now. Can you, or indeed anyone, without question acknowledge that hell exists and awaits us at death? Can you say it doesn't? Curiosity produces assumptions until proven or disproven and the writers of the Bible, like a novelist, and much like you and I have the need to believe in something, regardless of whether we call it faith or reason. So we choose either that hell truly is a place we go to after death, meaning the soul does not die along with the body and that if we have sinned beyond forgiveness, that we will burn in the fires of hell for eternity; or that hell is indeed a metaphor. Ironically, some religions teach that the soul dies right along with the body and yet they proclaim that hell exists after death! Have you ever been in a situation where you've thought hell must surely be here on earth. Remember 911? Hell was truly on earth then for those involved! Could that be what they mean? Is that what awaits the sinner at death? Should we live the life here we know in happiness without fear or should we live in fear that we might unknowingly sin against another?

Imagine then being in hell after you die; burning and suffering forever! And all because you committed a sin! What an awful thought! Now, your perspective on what constitutes a sin is different from the next persons perspective. And the perspective on the 'divinely delivered' idea of sin as related in the Bible is different again. Who is right? God 'inspired' words delivered through the filters of man about something so tormenting that itto me would take only a man to dream up to prevent this so called sinning? Or the belief in your heart that hell can be here on earth in your own home when you are at war with your beliefs? This war develops within your soul because you are fighting the beliefs of man and the beliefs of your own heart; your heart that never lies.

I challenge you to forget everything you have ever read or learned about the teachings in the Bible and feel with your heart. I have the utmost respect for the masters of the Bible, for they were true to their belief and wrote about it. The Bible was written by approximately 40 men of diverse backgrounds over the course of 1500 years. Men who were 'inspired' to write about their thoughts on how we all came to be and how we should act. A prophet, a priest, a tax-collector, a  fisherman, a tentmaker, a shepherd, and a physician among others were
