Email scams and exploitation

by pixie

I was so outraged today when I opened my email and I found yet again one more internet scammer preying on the hearts and hopes of the innocent people out there. There are so many people that are out there that are just hoping that we will be stupid enough or hopeful enough to give them what they want. these people that I consider scum of the earth are nothing but high tech con men that prey on the poor and the elderly. the one i found today was saying that they were in the military and found a stash of money and if only i could help them get it into the states they would give me 10 percent. the scammers not only got an earful from me, but i was appalled that they would use the military and the war that we are undergoing as a way to con people. My mother always told me that if it sounds too good that it is and yet there are people that will jump at it just to better their lives. and the people that jump are the ones that are in for a huge let down. but the part that kills me is there are so many of these people out there that the people that do get caught are just a drop in an ocean sized bucket. there are too few of the good moral people that are out there that are willing to stand up and say no more. we will not tolerate one more person to be exploited in this world. In stead we delete this junk from our in boxes and we forget all about it. well I say no more. no more deleting i say we stand up as a people a people of the world and shut these people down. there needs to be a way to make the people that are exploiting others accountable for their actions. just as we sentence people for crimes against humanity we should sentence these people the ones that are the lowest of the low and make them not only pay back the money that they will and have stolen and to make them serve the people of this world doing good deeds like planting fields, picking up garabage. anything that will contribute to the greater good of this world instead of padding their pockets off the money and the dreams of the poor, the elderly and the hopeful.
