Poetry: The unknown

The man with the creative insight

Labors hard and long into the night

Seeking answers to questions brought

With paper, pen and reasonable thought

He must find answers before dawn breaks

The problem, so vital,He makes no mistakes

He stretches his mind, he knows he must find

A reasonable finish to a problem so unkind

The fate of the world may may weight

On tomorrow's dawn and what he may say

The sky has been poisoned by Gama rays

If not resolved, it will mean the end of days

By dawn find an answer to survive

For there is a chance to keep alive

To change the sky and save the day

Or endure the calamity on its way

Page after page find answers none

Coffee more coffee It must be done

Befuddled and blank as the hour draws near

He increases his effort with mounting fear

Dawn breaks and the world awaits

To see if this man can change the fates

He offers a solution, he hopes will end

What could be the last day of foe or friend
