You Are

You are the twinkle in the eye
of the flower as you pass by in the
early morning dawn with the beginning
of a day that says, “Welcome to your
new life.”

You are the first glow of the rising red
sun that has just begun its life for the
first time, dawning on a world that is
sometimes unfriendly but mostly kind.

You are the stars at night that whisper
to one another as they watch the setting
sun turn out its light and the hazy glow
of the moon begins to shine.

You are the vagabond, the beggar, the
executive in the ivory corporate towers
built on the sweat and blood of the
labourer who is you and me and everyone
you see.

You are the golden thread woven through
the fabric of the thing we call time; always
present thought often unseen or heard;
you are a part of all that is and all that is not
and shall ever be.

You are you and me and him and her and
the seen and unseen to the naked eye.
You are whatever  is and so much more
even these letters and words
 that try to express just an inkling
of you, and yet fail for even words are not
enough to describe who

You Are.
