When moms get older they seem to have pretty much everything they need. There are a lot of great things that kids can get for moms when they do not want material things. The best kinds of gifts are those that are given with love.

Children living at home can give moms great gifts that are not materialistic. Moms are very busy all the time. They are the caregivers and they are always on the go. Any mom would love the gift of a day off from the daily stresses of life. Start first thing in the morning with breakfast in bed. Then let her sleep in. When she gets up let her just hang around the house and watch TV. Make lunch for her and dinner for her and the family. Make sure to clean up the mess in the kitchen so that she doesn’t have to.

Keeping the house clean is another of mom’s jobs. A gift moms love is for someone to clean the house for them. Just one day is great, or give her a certificate saying that the cleaning will be taken care of for one week. This also can include laundry.

Young children can do great things for mom too. I use to love the pictures my kids drew for me. I loved the thought and love they put into them. I also love the hand made gifts they made for me. My youngest son, when he was four years old, took a paper plate one time and glued all sorts of things on it for me. Beads and other little items he found. It is a gift that I will always cherish. I cherish all of the handmade pictures and cards my sons have made for me. They are the perfect gifts.

Even as kids grow older they can still draw pictures for mom. Moms love artwork that kids make no matter how old the kids are.

A gift that grown children can give to mom is a photo album. All moms love pictures of their children and grandchildren. A wonderful gift is to create a photo that includes album of the year’s events, and present it to mom on her birthday. This is a gift she will always cherish.

Life is so busy that sometimes parents and their kids just don’t spend much time together. Moms love spending time with their kids. Even though life is busy a wonderful gift for mom is to take a day off, everyone get together and go do something or hang out at home watching TV or movies or playing board games. Moms will love a birthday being the center of their kid’s attention.

There are many gifts that kids can give to moms who do not want material things. The best gifts are given out of love and moms will love anything that kids give them as long as a little heart is put into it.
