I have organized my life list into six categories and each year I try to do at least one thing from each category. I have accomplished some of the following goals but most have not yet been checked off.
Travel Goals. My travel goals include visiting England, Italy, Germany, China, Japan, Spain, France, Turkey, Egypt, Mexico, Africa, the Mediterranean, and the Caribbean. I also have some less costly travel goals such as taking a road trip, seeing Niagara Falls, visiting the Grand Canyon, seeing all 50 U.S. states, going to the desert, and sunbathing at a nude beach.
Fun Goals. Fun goals include skiing, water skiing, white water rafting, scuba diving, riding a horse, painting, sculpting, carving, learning to dance, and running a marathon.
Educational Goals. My educational goals include graduating from college, developing a field of expertise, reading the bible, completing a life-time reading list, learn a foreign language, earn a Masters degree, and earn a PhD.
Career Goals. My career goals include writing a book, becoming a published author, owning a business, working for a non-profit organization, and creating a scholarship fund. I do not want to work the same 9-5 job every day of my life.
Volunteer Goals. I aspire to Organize a major volunteer project, teach someone to read, teach someone to swim, and be a mentor.
Health and Home Goals. These are on-going goals that never get crossed off. Raise children, own a home, practice yoga, maintain optimal weight/muscle ratio.
