A look at celebrity stalkers

Not that I would consider myself a celebrity, I have had stalkers and the truth of the matter is, it's flattering, until it gets to the point that the stalker becomes dangerous or can negatively interfere with your life.  When a stalker does more than take pictures of you or write you letters, constantly, it's annoying.  When they hide in your basement, it's dangerous.  That hasn't happened to me yet, and I'd like to think only because I don't have a basement.  I do however have an attic, and weird noises and funny smells have been coming from there lately, but I'm not convinced it is a stalker, though I haven't checked.

I watched a suicide video of Bjork's stalker and was moved by the level of madness this guy had slipped into or should I say plunged? The disconnect from reality and the oddity of his behavior leads me to believe he had some severe mental issues, probably unchecked or unreported.   So, if you notice that a loved one has too many pictures and/or videos or talks obsessively about a celebrity and talks about going to their house, you may want to have them checked out!  Unless of course, you know for a fact that they are friends or maybe the producer of said celebrity.

We hear all the time about people breaking into Letterman's house or following Paris (Paris is technically a "celeb-retard"but they have stalkers too) and If you are thinking about following celebrities or hiding in their basement, please, get help now!  Nobody wants to come home and find a stalker hiding in their basement!   Follow them around, until you are served a restraining order, that...that's OK, no hiding in basements or living under the house in any fashion, this is unacceptable. In fact, this behavior is also unacceptable if the person is not a celebrity. Take pictures on your iPhone, that's OK...do NOT take video while they are performing, that is not OK, and posting video of a celebrity from a performance on YouTube is especially not OK, not only is it a violation of copyrighted material, it makes you a complete a-hole for potentially ruining their career (IE: Michael Richards).  Sometimes, no matter how bad what a celebrity does or says might be during a performance, it is always, always, always worse to be the person who exposes that thing, especially if you are not a professional, hired to do just that, so don't! If you do this, you are worse than a stalker, even the one that hides in a basement.

Bottom line- and simply put: stalker bad, fan good.  Got it?  And never hide in the attic of a quasi-celebrity, especially in Vegas where it is hot!  The chance of surviving in an attic here is slim.  You hear that up there?
