HALF PAST FOUR
It's half past four
Feet hit the floor
Time for the poor
To exit the door.
Under the moon's glow
Shoes shuffling through snow
Every morning they go
To ensure children grow.
Never does he crow
As the tears flow
For he must know
The line he must tow.

burning your eyes.
You put on a pot of coffee
and just as the morning
starts to slowly drip
through
DEPRESSION
Silently in sorrow
this poet stood
among voices of praise
