Heaven's Door
He walked up to this Heaven's door
He knocked and asked "May I explore."
Entering this light, he heard a refrain
There's no more sorrow and no more pain
He came upon a Shepherd boy, sitting by his sheep
He knelt down beside him, with tears he did weep
The harps were playing their angelic tune
With love surrounding him in this heavenly room
No more loud noise, there was no more loud chatter
For he knew he was home, nothing else really mattered
There was music all around, sounds of his favorite tunes
He was finally home at last in this heavenly room
For when he passed through this almighty door
There was so much to see, so much to adore
His loved ones held him in their opened arms
He was free at last from any earthly harms
He sat by the harp, his family around
Knowing he was home, he was finally found
This room of light and love from the Son
He knew his heavenly life had just begun
Now free of the pain that once chained him down
He walked freely around in this heavenly sound
Upon entering this door, no more need to explore
He knew he had passed through Heaven's door

Poetry: Life & death
I have desired life all my given years
As I sat next to death on a ringside seat;
Watched the players, one by one, disappear

Heaven's Door
He walked up to this Heaven's
During his journey he paused to give thought
He’d travelled so far and needed a rest
He thought of the good times

The Journey
Rising seven springs unite, bringing life to see
Meanders caressing banks his nooks and crannies
Gliding over familiar

How faint the line which now divides
A person's life and death;
No louder than a heartbeat's song
Or deeper than a breath.
