The great American Novel.
America and the world does not NEED another novel. What we need is plenty of well written novel. I have a technical background and education. I did not study the arts until grad school. The concept of writing the great American novel came to me about three years ago. I had a lot to learn about fiction. Tech papers are easy- who cares about drama- if the polymer works it works now make it safely.
The art of Fiction is grabbing and keeping the reader involved. (See Page turner) The fun part is writing with a voice or feeling yet don't drown the reader with nausea- details. Leave out the wrong details and the story goes flat. Editing goes on forever.
Yea I'm writing a novel.- somewhat on my life experience. I'm learning more than I'm writing. 25k words done and 50k to go.
