e-Cards are a true Internet phenomenon, they are used by hundreds of millions of people each year, and will bring you numerous benefits. A major benefit is without a doubt the ability to deliver a card to the intended recipient on time, a true blessing for those who are prone to forgetfulness or live busy lives. They will also save you plenty of money and will help to save rain forests. The reality of real physical Christmas cards is that most will end up being thrown out, a real waste of the worlds increasingly scare resources.

Despite the huge list of benefits, and irrespective of your reasons, it can be difficult finding great free e-Cards online. Not because they don't exist, to the contrary they are plentiful, but rather because there are far too many providers who send ad-supported cards or who will keep the recipients email address for a mailing list. The following list of websites are, in my humble opinion, the greatest sources of fantastically well designed Christmas e-Cards from companies that you can trust:

123greetings.com - This site has literally thousands of designs to choose from, to suit any taste. Whether you want to send a religious card, a humor card, a rude card, or even a card to an atheist or a 'Holiday Season' card to a Muslim, these will have a card for you. This site also offers a wide array of e-cards for all other occasions, be it valentines day or your mothers birthday. Certainly a website worth bookmarking.

Funny-ecards.com - Another great site which focusses primarily on humorous cards, plenty of laughs for those who you believe will appreciate a funny christmas e-card! Another site which offers cards for all occassions and should be bookmarked for future reference!

Regards.com - This site claims to have the largest collection of free Christmas e-cards on the web and, whilst I am in no position to validate their claims, a brief look at the selection leads me to believe it. Not the prettiest site out of the three, but some excellent cards.

eCards.co.uk - My personal favourite is this site from the UK which offers completely free e-Cards as well as a variety of printed cards. They will send eCards to any email recipient and have, in my opinion, the most advanced graphically designed cards.

Anybody looking for free e-Cards for any occasion, not just Christmas, should find at least something to suit their tastes through one or more of those four sites.
