A lot of people ask me, how do they become a Scientologist. People come into my Church in Canberra and ask that quite often.

I greet people kindly and explain a bit about life and what Scientology is and then simply suggest to them that they need to buy a book on Scientology ort Dianetics. Scientology is about life and the laws of life and how to apply that knowledge to yourself and others. Dianetics is about the mind so as to understand the mind and overcoming its shortcomings to better ourselves.

"All security derives from knowldge", wrote L. Ron Hubbard. So if you know about life you will be more secure in it. It is that simple and that is why Scientology is mostly passed onto others. It is a science of life. When people read about it they want it. It is that simple.

So to become a Scientologist all you need to do is get a book and read it and apply it. It really is that easy.

Of course you can go into the Church of Scientology. And ask them which book would be best for you. There are several that are extremely useful to the new person. Problems of Work is excellent for people who want to get their work under control. Scientology: The Fundamentals Of Thought is best for someone who wants to know the laws of life and is interested in Scientology itself. Scientology: A New Slant On Life is brilliant for those wanting to engross themselves in the amazingly simple L. Ron Hubbard (founder of Scientology) philosophy of life. Dianetics, the book that started it all, will help anyone, and is about their mind and what is holding them back in life.

You can certainly go into Church of Scientology and do a personality test. it is very accurate. But the goal there is to really just understand you so as to be able to point you in the direction of the book that will help you the most.

The best way to become a Scientologist is to have a friend who is a Scientologist. He can help you. I came into Scientology, because a friend of mine was interested, and found the first book I read rather amazing. I then read another. That was followed with some Dianetics counselling, which was fantastic. I had no idea I could feel that much better in such a short time. Then I did the Overcoming: The Ups And Downs In Life Course. I recommend all these to anyone. I was so enthralled by the subject that I then bought twenty more books on Scientology and read them all. It all made sense. So this is the best way to become a Scientologist. Read the books, try out a course, and do some counselling. It will change your life for the better. it really will. Good Luck!
