Poetry: I love you

by Rosario Buenaflor

Created on: October 21, 2010   Last Updated: March 27, 2011

I love you like the four seasons
With the colors of hot-air balloons
Painting the sky on summer's noon
Like faithful autumn birds heading home
Winter comes but it’s never too soon
Spring flowers of beauty I could go on

I am your friend, your confidante
Hold my hand, don't be adamant
You can walk with me in darkness
Or dream of far away places
Fantasize being with someone else
My trust in you never ceases

You're a dream wrapped in beauty
Apparition, covered in honey
Your touch is heaven
No one comes close to even
Your fragrance that lingers
Pleasures like flowers

Take my heart, it's yours
How my spirit soars
Like the birds of spring
With the joys you bring
I hope you feel the same
But then I love you just the same
