Poetry: The pain of letting you go

by Rosario Buenaflor

Created on: October 21, 2010   Last Updated: November 06, 2010

Towards a lonely pathway
Never have I imagined this day
Though it hurts to part ways
My heart will heal someday

So much for me to cherish
I never dreamed it would perish
I will long for your touch
And your kisses so much

You were part of my family
They enjoyed your company
You blended in so naturally
You were mine especially

We had our differences
Yes, we made up with kisses
But broken are the promises
I never wanted to hear bye-byes

It's painful to see you go
I'm thankful and I'm tearful
Being strong, not sentimental
I'm on the verge of being mental
