Yellow stripes and solid whites
Is all that the cowboy could see
No moon in the sky no oncoming lights
As he thought how to pay his next fees
No cash in his pocket no fuel in his truck
This young cowboy is down on his luck
He bucked off last weekend
Missed his markout tonight
As on this feller goes
He's about to give up the fight
His girlfriend just left him
His right binding broke
He's down on his luck
And 'bout up in smoke
3 cents on the dashboard
Was all he could find
He looked over to his dog
And said 'boy we're in a bind'
Though most men would quit
Our boy will proceed
'CUz he has what every man needs
A good dog
An old saddle
A big heart
And strong faith
As he follows Gods way
He knows gods watching out for him
At the end of each day
