Little white lies are easy to tell,
many times they'll come back and cause you hell.
A lie is a

Your laugh like fine crystal

Whose rim the finger presses

Carries me to places

That my love seldom expresses.

Your motives

They started off as little white lies

To protect my reputation

An affair was in the making

I headed there without hesitation....

Unfounded allegations,

Made up to suit himself.

Misleading accusations

Ended in her life being lived on the shelf.
