Lying there looking up toward the heavens
Remembering a time when I was eleven
The sky was darker then it is today
Under many stars did I lay
Shooting stars across the sky on my back did I lie
They sparkled brightly I remember, especially in the month of December
Tender moments have I shared gazing up and lying there
As I stare at the darkened sky memories made I can not deny
Life has changed now that I am forty one sharing my stars with my little son
